This video is misleading. The 160k troops deployed abroad numbers does not mean anything, as they are not usually deployed in combat in a war zone. Plus, that number is always changing due to ongoing regular rotations, so that number is never stable. There were times during the Trump administration that number increased due to tensions in the middle east to pre-position forces, sometimes it was decreased, same for biden, it was lower before the Russian Invasion of Ukraine. Trump also withdrew some troops from Germany, but it does not really matter as that is not a combat mission. The US has bases all around the world where they conduct training and exercises. Very few troops are deployed in combat zones. Biden didn’t end combat against isis, that is still ongoing. Biden didn’t withdraw from niger (troops that were not doing combat there, but just training, other than the special forces guys), but the US was forced to withdraw after a coup in the country. The US does not have troops in Yemen under operation prosperity guardian. Mentioning trump and engagements in Libya and Pakistan is meaningless, there was very little involvement there. Troops deployed in combat zones: a few hundreds in Somalia (about 400, most doing training of local forces); small groups of special operation forces (dozens per group) deployed in Somalia, Yemen, Libya, Niger, Syria, Iraq and other countries doing advising and training missions with partner forces; 2000 troops in Iraq doing advise and assist against ISIS; 900 troops in Syria, doing advise and assist, patrol missions against ISIS.
