I have a buddy who’s currently in rehab, and he is the highest example of a functioning alcoholic I’ve ever met. Clocks in and out of work, does it well, and has never created a problem in the office. But he’s probably never short of 3 drinks in him at any given time. That’s what I view as a functioning alcoholic.
I’m no doctor or even close to an expert on the subject, but I feel like a couple drinks AFTER work doesn’t really classify as “functioning alcoholism” That’s like me liking to unwind after work by playing video games for an hour or 2 and telling me I have a crippling video game addiction. People have their own vices and ways to decompress, and substances can be a slippery slope for sure, but if it’s kept to non-work hours and not done to excess to a point where it’s affecting your work life or social life, then what’s the problem?

Also keep In mind doing these police at least have to wait 20 to 30 minutes after stopping you or suspecting you’re drunk to breathalyze you because food water and other things can increase the dpa shown

That’s not what functioning alcoholic means. Those mfs go to work drunk and get everything done. As long as your not drinking frequently and you can control yourself when you want to have just a few beers or something, I wouldn’t call you an alcoholic

One of the main ingredients in vape is propelyene glycol. It has 2 alcohol groups in the chemical formula. Funny enough, ethanol actually only has 1 alcohol group, which might explain why it increased that much
