Disclaimer! No shade to any techs but this is just to show that unfortunately even the best intentions sometimes have unforeseen consequences!

Unfortunately the enhancement was very unbalanced being very thick in the front with very little acrylic on the nail plate. The client end up chipping the acrylic the next day and the tech tried to repair but unfortunately it didn’t work so the tech decided to clip away the whole toenail rather than remove everything and leave her bare😭 I decided to remove everything and told her to wait a few weeks to see if that toenail was even going to grow back before jumping straight into a new set

Been saying this ‼️ that stuff is a temporary fix just for the look of it not the health of it . ALL SHADE cause if you’re a nail tech / licensed that went to school for it you wouldn’t touch nails or toes that clearly needs professional help…

Even with gels or acrylics on , you can still at least try treating the nail beneath with a drop of tea tree essential oil, or thyme oil applied underneath the enhancement & around the cuticle, consistently. That could help the problem from getting worse.

I find it so much easier to just use hard gel for toes. I just use the largest size straight square dual form. It will fit most peoples toes, especially if you have small feet but if it doesn’t fit the whole toe, then you just cure one side and do the other. It’s very hard to do acrylic toes that are not super thick and actually look good or natural. But I guess lots of people still haven’t gone on the gel bandwagon yet lol

Im new to the industry and still learning so please be patient with me. I'm trying to learn as much as I can about everything. So, she chipped the acrylic and her nail and it broke almost the entire nail? And then the tech applied more acrylic to fix it?
