Make some basic vanilla ice cream, small bags with cream, you don’t waste a lot and it is a small batch and maybe 20 minutes… vanilla creamer for coffee also… for intensity to taste through coffee

I been making some with my grandma for about a year and a quarter probably… idk cause we didn’t date it. At first we had it in the vodka bottle, but we cut the hole in the top of an empty garbage bag box and kept it inside of there, just recently I went to goodwill and got a big brown glass bottle. It’s better for it to be in a dark container, kinda like peroxide. That’s y they sale it to us in the lil brown bottles

I make homemade vanilla for a living, the store-bought probably tastes more chemical because a lot of extract brands supplement their vanilla with synthetic vanillin. They also probably use alcohol not meant for drinking.
You should try making a London Fog (Earl Grey tea with milk and vanilla) with both kinds, you can really taste the difference!

My guess, since I didn't see the original making video is that you used vodka or everclear to extract the vanilla essence. Probably smoother than what McCormick uses
