"The desire to be at home". I can relate. I often think to myself "I wanna go home" even if I'm standing in my own house as an adult. I guess "home" is really my parents house in the early 2000s. I miss home.

this is so lovely. you’re very lucky to still have these. my mother moved away from my childhood home she threw away all the tapes and photo albums of from when i was a kid. she was never the sentimental type.

And look at you now!!! This made me cry. I lost my dad in February, very rapidly and unexpectedly to Lung cancer after cancer treatments. These clips of you made me remember all that time I had with him.

I know we were kids and things weren't as complicated, but it feels like the world was less complicated too. No social media, no 24/7 news cycle, no constant distractions. We grew up before, and with, technology, and now it's just taken over our lives. I'm nostalgic for the simplicity.

Does anyone else feel like everything felt different then? Ive also noticed in general, kids seem to act differently...honestly more respectful and nicer, less temper tantrums and meltdowns. Kids seemed more "starry eyed" in old videos and there was much more sense of calm overall. Like the energy there felt different. Ive noticed it in my own childhood videos as well as strangers posting like these. The 90s was SUCH a fun, blissful time. Of awesome tv shows and movies and the BEST plethora of music, fun style, etc. ! ❤

I wish I had this! 😔 We went through some hard times and couldn’t pay our storage unit so I ended up loosing all my childhood photos and photos of my late mother.
