I have a c1 and it randomly squeeks on acceleration and randomly over bumps too but not all the time. Mechanics can't figure it out/haven't spent more than 30 seconds trying to. What could it be do you reckon?

Will try on my C1 sometime cause it has a squeaky belt issue too. Not too squeaky, but a bit less squeaky than this car is.

Belts are made to run dry not lubed up

If it's a continuous squeaking, change the pulley. If it's just on a cold startup, change the belt.
