When I was in the discard phase and crying my eyes out, no one could console me. I tried to hard to bring back that wonderful (fake) person from the beginning. Finally someone said to me, "If you loved someone, could you treat them the way they treated you?" No, I couldn't do that to anyone. I protested, "But sometimes he was nice". My friend said, "you were in a prison with a few pillows thrown in". And the scales fell from my eyes.

Sadly I have to ignore my Malignant Adult son! He became more aggressive towards me after I rejected his New Supply who also seems to be Narcissistic! She crosses boundaries. He’s more Estranged and I don’t care anymore’ I’m just done with him and his rude ass behavior! Finished! No Contact from now on!

I WAS T THE NARCISSIST IN THE RELATIONSHIP AND IM THE ONE THAT LEFT I GOT TYPE OF THE CYCLES HE WAS USETO I REFUSED TO STAY IN THAT CYCLE WITH HIM MAKING HIM THINK THAT BEHAVIOR WAS OK !! ESPECIALLY HAVING CHILDREN THATS UNACCEPTABLE

Good advice. Also, what helped me to stay no contact with narcs that used to be in my life was to write down all the horrible awful abusive things they did to me, and then, anytime I felt like maybe I was being too harsh in keeping them out of my life, I went back and re-read the list I had written of all the horrible things they had done, then I remembered how abusive they were and had no desire to have any contact with them.
