A lot of people and clinicians still think running somehow increases arthritis. That would be like saying lunging or mini hops would also cause wear and tear. Running is simply a series of acceleration and decelerations. It's repetitive, but ultimately, GOOD for your knees. A study looked at 3 groups, non runners, current runners, and people who had run at any point in their lives, but stopped running.
