The FP probes don't connect to your phone they simply ping their data as a one way transmission. This gives them the incredible range because it's not bidirectional communication. If the Testo micron gauge disconnects from your phone it can't restart. So your hole graph is shot. They have the cheep door that isn't water tight. Had to vacuum down a system in the rain and I ended up with water inside of my micron gauge! Crappy hooks with a rubber band holding the clip in the parked position on the micron gauge.

I've had my field peace probes for over 2 years now with no issues to speak of.

While I agree with some things you say, I have found the testos to be more accurate. It's weird, but when using the fieldpieces, I notice every once in a while that I will get no subcooling. I will then switch to testos and get 2 totally different numbers. Subcooiling is more accurate. I wish, though the testos had large diameter pipe clamp probes.

I had my set for 5y and never a problem. And the range is a lot more than 15foot.
