I think Iโve put down only a couple of these if that. Almost all of my patients when I was a paramedic or as a respiratory therapist were intubated and if I couldnโt get it and there was another medic on scene then they would help me but most of them I was able to intubate ok. Again though Iโm not a big fan of the LMA since it sits above the vocal cords compared to the ET tube which goes through the vocal cords and has a bulb on the end which helps prevent aspiration pneumonia compared to the blind airways like the LMA in this video

Yes. Woke up from open heart surgery, and that's the ONE thing I remembered. Didn't know til now how large it was. Also had a cloth over my eyes and that didn't help

I had something similar when I was younger but it had wires in it. I was intubated because of my asthma.

I've had a lot of surgery and I had no idea that the end piece on that was so large. No wonder my throat always kills me after surgery. I just thought it was like a regular intubation tube.

I have to a couple of operations the main one is to fix a prolapsed uterus prolapsed bladder and prolapsed rectom I assume when they fix the pelvic floor muscle they attach it the spine won't coughing due damage straight after surgery x

Yes , the thing is big . Then your throat is hurting for a few days. Even the voice can slightly change for a day or two. Being there.

Wow that shit looks deep I had no idea how huge that thing is - have had anesthesia many times and I remember having sore throat for several days
