u should do cold tyres compared to warmed up tyres

Learn to trail brake to help rotate the car using both front and rear wheels. Then again... I'm not sure if you can trail brake in karts like full sized cars.

I went go karting before and the kart I was driving the tyres were extremely worn out, there were bits of rubber falling off, so when they put me in a different kart with fresh tyres, I was faster

Old tyres (Komet K2H) had done more than 120 laps. The front tyres were extremely worn out which caused understeer in every corner. Notice how much I had to turn the steering wheel on corner entry just to rotate the kart.
On the other hand, new tyres (Vega XH3) were brand new and within 6 laps of that session I got my fastest lap time. The difference in grip levels were IMMENSE! It was literally like driving this kart on rails π Notice how I barley had to turn my steering wheel on corner entry. A lot of the time I was neutral steering. Towards the end of the lap I got a few snaps of oversteer because there was so much grip and I was taking those corners a little bit too quickly
