I have the big boy split beam. I love it. 150 inch doesn't seem like enough tho for jobs like valve covers. Usually 11-14 ftlb. Or spark plugs usually around 18 ftlb

man, now looking at this a while later as a master tech, i think it would be a good purchase. i have the snap-on digital 5-125 ft lb and it has been great for things like spark plugs and water pump bolts but testing it on the low end range i feel like it's not accurate enough. also doing the wheel bearings on a ford you need to do an 18 ft lb tightening for the last turn and while the digital WILL show low NM numbers below it's lowest "setting" i doubt it's accurate at 3 to 5 NM when the lowest setting is like 8 NM.

Gaskets dont fail that much in newer cars these days . There not made of cardboard.
