Being good for beginners doesnt make it bad for advanced users. Used tons of Linux distros so far, and yet id say Linux Mint Cinamon is actually one of my personal favourites, even if people mostly recomend it just for people coming from Windows. Its fairly lightweight, looks great, easy to navigate, needs little configuration, and does anything any other distro can do.

The best OS is the one that works for what YOU need it for. Who cares, Win, Linux, Mac- The only question that should matter is, Will it work for me? If the answer is yes, well then its the best OS for you at that time.
Dont matter if Kali is Great or trash, what matters is that it works for you, if it don't, go watch someone else videos. Sad to see you go but bye.

In general:
* Beginning: Kali
* Intermediate: Parrot
* Advanced: BlackArch
The rolling release nature of anything Arch-based combined with how few keystrokes it takes to install things with Pacman as opposed to APT is why I personally use the latter, but there are cases where you want a more stable kernel, etc. and in that case the former 2 might be better.

I finally got fed up with Microsoft's continual cycle of required updates and switched to Linux this year. I wanted Parrot but had trouble getting Wifi on it, so I, who had never used Linux before, wound up with Kali. There's certainly been a learning curve, but I am enjoying it, yes, even using the terminal and coming to find it slick. I'd love to master some of the tools included with it, but that's for another time.

It's a tool. Making statements like "professionals only use X", is probably the fastest way to reveal immaturity in any field.
