I appreciate the video response, so thank for you that :D
Although, I disagree.
To start, the "perfect parent perfect child" analogy doesn't quite work for me, since even if you were the "perfect" parent your child is still that of human kind, whom are sinful/flawed in nature. It is one flawed being creating another flawed being. Like, I wouldn't blame my mother for my human flaws because she did not create/design human kind, God did, and he imbedded us, and the devil by extension, with the ability, and apparently the inclination, to sin.
Sin is a funny thing, since, if God is the creator of everything, including setting up the physiology of humans, which includes our emotions, tendencies, among other things, then he himself created sin, or at the very least the concept of sin. Why would he, especially given that he knew the disastrous consequences of creating it before putting everything into motion, let that be a part of the design of his creation?
Well, sin is necessary to allow for free will, or is it? We know, or rather assume I suppose, that you actually can have it both ways (have free will, while also having no ability, or at least no desire, to sin) since in the presence of God in Heaven there is no sin. Unless, you propose that we lose our free will in Heaven, which is not only a scary thought, but would seem to go against God's ultra high priority of allowing us to have free will.
I honestly struggle to accept that an all powerful and all loving God would have to abide by a "not IF but WHEN" scenario. If he truly just wanted to demonstrate the danger of sin, well what a display he has put on for us. An unimaginable amount of suffering due to the fall of man, whom he created, all just to allow us to have the ability to pick out what we want for breakfast.
In short, the wise and all knowing designer designed something not so well designed.
