if you have that much algae, then tone down your lighting. also add more plants to compete with the algae. liquid carbon is also very effective. that much algae signifies an imbalance of nutrients and lighting in your tank.

How does that even grow? I feel like you need to have plants or something like that in the first place for it to appear.

Use flourish exel just start the dosage slowly so if it use 3/4 of what it says this works for me. Or just spot dose it with a suringe.
