During the Iran hostage crisis my brother was in college and my parents told him NOT to participate in the anti-Iran demonstrations occurring on campus. He told them he wasn't going anywhere near it. The next night my whole family saw him on the news at the demonstration. That was his last week in school, and then he joined the Coast Guatd. You ALWAYS get caught when you do stupid things.

My mother gave me the same kind of āadviceā, lecture while watching the Berkeley riots on television. Needless to say I didnāt go to the riots because even though we didnāt always see things the same way my mother was one of the smartest people I have ever met, only second to my father.

The parents of the students at these colleges and universities are finally getting the real world look at what is going on. Not every student is involved in the demonstrations but for those who are? It's VERY EXPENSIVE to put 1 individual through any higher education institution. And then for the parents to think their children are involved in that insanity. I would withdraw every penny I ever earned for his/her education.

I told mine she should go to community college for the first two years. It is rural and free so there is no time for foolishness from the staff. Just learning. Then she can head to a state university and finish up. The more expensive and/or ivy league the more troubled the employee. My employer has stayed away from these grads because they don't provide any value.

Old enough to vote. Old enough to join the military. Old enough to be cut off.
