Well done, John, as usual. Back in the 70s, my EH LPB-1 was my most valued part of my rig. I put it in my signal chain, sometimes in my modest pedal chain, but usually directly into the amp. Going directly in the amp, let me dial in how much drive/dirt/sustain I wanted. Going at the front of the chain, I was able to use it to hit the pedals a little harder. I always had at least 2 on hand for gig & recording. I used it with tube & solid state amps.

I have one of those very same Les Pauls. Killer guitar. I don’t play it anymore because it weighs a ton - but it sure is cool!
