Yeah facts, clean it regularly and know when to get a new one. Was driving around with a car reeking of mildew for months, to the point of giving me a headache, got it replaced and have been breathing clean ever since.

Sorry i had a 2004 GMC Sierra and it did not come from the factory with a cabin air filter. I could order a kit online that would install one there but that would have to be aftermarket

just bought an 06 pathfinder, turned on the ac and was like “damn it smells like a dead animal in here” took out the cabin filter and there was a rat nest filling the ENTIRE cabin, had to take out ac motor and clean it because so much shit fell down the hole while i was taking the filters out… filters were packed in there had to rip one out in 2

Wrong, but nice try. Many still had no cabin air filter. Jeep Cherokee (XJs) do not have a cabin air filter of any sort. The air comes straight thru the cowl into the cabin
