I build a framed enclosure around my broccoli plants and cover it with mosquito netting. This keeps the white butterflies from laying their eggs on the broccoli which become larvae and is free of the use of pesticides.

This kind of video is so helpful. It can be really intimidating to know what to do with all of the food when you’re first starting.

This level of cleanliness and common sense is with which my mother takes care of all the different types of foods, vegetables and fruits that she has to handle. And I haven't seen this in many people. I highly respect people who do this.

Your garden and pearls of wisdom are so inspiring! I can’t wait to be done with graduate school to get more involved in gardening and processing. At the moment I focus on very small crops. I love it so much! Thank you for sharing pearls of wisdom, I soak it up like a sponge!

I learn so many things from your shorts, it's so inspiring that I feel the urge to grow my own veggies. Thank you so much.

Love that tip for getting out the caterpillars! Do you use that for any other vegetables?

You can also either freeze dry or dehydrate them

So helpful!! Do you find that the blanching prevents the florets from disintegrating in the freezer? I forgot to blanch last year and the little florets all just crumbled off when we froze them and they got bumped or had any weight on them 😭
