The Effect of Low Dose Naltrexone (LD) on Prescription Treatments for Depression.
Medical researchers evaluated females with recurrent Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) that were on dopamine antidepressant regimens. Half of the subjects received Low Dose Naltrexone and the other half received a placebo.

LDN improved depression symptoms better than placebo in just 3 weeks, in all 5 of the depression assessments. In summary, the researchers found LDN further improved dopamine therapy prescriptions for depression in people with Major Depressive Disorder.
