My hair also looks trash when slowly air dryed, but recently I've been putting it in a bun right after I get out of the shower and leaving it in for a night or two, it makes it look awesome and wavy when I take it out, I feel it kinda keeps that shower freshness and doesnt get all poofy like with air drying.
