❌ Not Backing Up Your Footage

If you’re not backing up your footage, you are risking losing all your hard’s work.

💩 happens

Software fails, hard drives fail, laptops get dropped, computers break, SD Cards malfunction.

You DO NOT want to have to go to a client to tell them that their files were lost over some unforeseen mistake.

So this is what I recommend:

1. Use Cameras With Dual Memory Card Slots and Enable Dual Recording
2. Export Files to Your Computer AND Back Up Files to 2 External HDDs
3. Optional: Backup Files On A Cloud Storage (eg Google Drive, Frame.io, Dropbox)

This ensures you always have a copy of the client’s projects in case anything goes wrong.
