We used that for a gnat invasion when I was an archaeologist. The gnats were so bad they were killing cattle by infesting their nostrils and mouths. Works like charm! Another trick, that cheap French vanilla musk from the discount stores…but once word gets out, it sells out fast. Male and female alike, we walked around all summer smelling like birthday cakes and French wh@res.

Vanilla extract only provides protection for about 30 to 45 minutes.. It's also important to use pure vanilla extract without any added sugar, as that can attract mosquitoes.
Other natural scents that can repel mosquitoes include:
citronella, peppermint, cedar, catnip, patchouli, lemongrass, and lavender.. I use citronella and lemongrass

Try pure organic coconut oil. You must lather it everywhere, on every little corner of yourself. If you do not, you will be bitten right where you forgot to lather with it. The more you use it, the more it works. On another note, the lathering will also help your skin feel amazing and your liver and blood to be cleaner. ❤
