Working through the vocal breaks is key for any singer for any style of music. Especially if you want to sing rock / metal with powerful mixed voice.

In part 1 we worked through how to find the vocal breaks, which is important as it will dictate when to shift gears. Watch part 1 here:    • How to work with your vocal breaks to...

In part 2 we are approaching how resonance placement and vowel modifications are key to blending the voice and working through the nasty breaks!

Some of these examples are exaggerated and meant to help find placement rather than a vowel modification map. For example, you can use darker vowels for AH and get to AH, AW, UH, OH, OO as you ascend where in the video I picked EH since I think it's easier to find the high resonance placement with that vowel choice. Experiment!

Want to see me using these techniques in real songs? Listen to Pneumothorax and Sonhos!

Sonhos:    • Leo Maia - Sonhos (LYRIC VIDEO) (Turn...

Leo would it be possible to do a part 3 that shows you using this method with 3 different lines of a song at each of your breaks? Showing how you would approach each line correctly and then how not to do it? Translating exercises to songs, lyrics and melody is where I fall apart.
Asking a lot I know, sorry. :)

Uh to Eh is hard seems like a lot of balance up there like that. I’m assuming you to take that Eh placement for A up to C?
