Cool idea. Would making and using a stamp for the stars work as well? Add adhesive to stamp, stamp ceiling, add foil.

Do this or something else on the ceilings of hospital ICU's where patients can't speak and lie there all day staring at the ugliest and most boring paint job that may have been painted when the room was built and never thought of again. The state of the ceilings adds mental torture to the dying process.
