Tbf back in 2017 the community was pretty much a bunch of oldheads in their 30s and 40s who didn't even want a most things polled. The fact that it almost succeeded is just to show their power was waning.

When I used to play back in like 2004/2008, people would love an NPC like this. All our NPC's were very basic and the player base was poor so even seeing stuff like Dragon Armour was rare and exciting. People would always get compliments for wearing dragon or a skill cape or a fire cape. So I think this NPC would have been a huge hit back then, not sure why players show jealousy these days.
