Only in Florida: Shirtless Florida Man Steals Cop Car, Carjacks Woman, and Crashes in Wild Chase

A dramatic incident unfolded in Key Largo, Florida, on December 22, 2024, involving Armando Lopez, a 52-year-old attempted murder suspect. Lopez allegedly attacked his ex-girlfriend, suffocating and strangling her while threatening to kill her. After deputies arrived, Lopez resisted arrest, punched a sergeant, and stole his patrol car despite being tased.

Lopez drove erratically through neighborhoods before pulling over a 46-year-old woman under the pretense of a traffic stop. He carjacked her SUV and sped off at nearly 100 mph.
