Subtle differences, but as always 'difference' does not equate better or worse. Throw in some EQ and other effects and those differences could all but evaporate in some instances and in others could become wider. Guitars are wonderful.

Both sound fantastic. The Masterbuilt seems to have more "body", tone-wise.

The feel and playability are way different. If you are a good player you can coach wonderful sounds out of any guitar. The difference is do you love picking up one over the other because it inspires and gives you what you need to focus on giving the best performance or do you have to fight the instrument the entire time.

Squire sounds a little more brittle. Has less warmth than the master-built. I promise you all there is a huge difference in how they feel and that matters tremendously.

I don't get it the high $ bolt-neck guitars. Buy a Squier and build to spec a Warmoth parts guitar with the electronics and hardware that best suit your needs. IMHO Suhr, Fender Custom/Master built, etc. really make no sense. A Squier as a backup and gigs in rough crowds and a custom Warmoth based guitar for everything else is a good policy.

Definitely cleaner clearer tone coming from the master built. I would bet if the squire felt as good, you could change the pick ups and have essentially the same guitar at a fraction of the price. Minus the cool factor of all the aging which to me is not necessary.
