This valorous gentleman could be Neuman's brother (Seinfeld). I would not have guessed he is black. But that is not the point. The point is, good finally triumphed against evil in the US military.
And I speak English and have the privilege of voting because of this man and all our military's courage and sacrifice. Especially black men and women in uniform.
They had to fight two wars at once.

Thought he was white. That's very likely is the reason he "made out very well". The 99th squadron of all black fighters never lost a bomber while escorting them over Germany with it's anti aircraft flack guns. They were treated poorly. Eventually they won lots of respect. Some bomber pilots specifically requested the 99th to fly with them.
(As it was told to me. No opinion here.)--A black, ex-co-worker who read much on race relations, said, that for some whites, having to put blacks in the military was a bit nerve-racking for some whites because some of the black men were learning how easy it was to shoot a white man.
