I actually got “Let go” from a job because this company expected you to finish whatever you were working on before you left for lunch but still expected you to punch back in at the same time. Didn’t matter if it was your 30 min or 20 or 15. Most of the guys ate at their desks to make sure they were back. I had a new puppy at home that was min away and took my full half hours. They didn’t like that.
