All right, Ruben hurricane Carter was most definitely an innocent man in 1966. Rubin did not commit those murders. Although he was no friendly guy, they were able to pin it on him because of his mean persona, he was young and angry. He had to come to terms with his anger, and he unlocked freedom by opening his heart. It was a battle within himself. Innocent or guilty, he had a beautiful life. I love you, Rubin.

Justice…???
He was identified by witnesses at the scene of the robbery….
Bias by the system, police and prosecutors…????
His case was treated like any other and there was enough evidence to convict him…
Later, the witnesses recanted which is the basis is of ‘so called wrong doing’.
Far more to this case then simple exoneration.
His case was overturned after years of appeals….
It did not make him innocent nor did it make him guilty……

His career was over-he lost his last fight. In the movie "Hurricane" they imply that he won the fight, but the real winner sued the filmmakers and won. He was NEVER exonerated. He served 19+ years of a 20 year sentence, and after he won a retrial, the prosecution decided not to retry him. He was found guilty in 1967. He lied about almost every aspect of his life in his books, and he beat a woman during his second trial in 1976 (the one where he was caught asking his wife to perjure herself for him) and was him) and he was convicted again. Stop lying about this murderer.

Divide $500,000 by 20 years 24 hours oh dang, that was no apology that was an insult added to injury, the American way!
