yeah, they just brushed over the most important part. Compressing the cylinder is key and not as easy as one might think. Some you push, some you twist....

What about spreading the pistons? Doubt a new rotor and pads will fit in the space without any pushing of the pistons

I wouldn't put that retainer screw back in either. It's unnecessary and is only there for vehicle assembly on the line.

1) You’re removing a wheel, not a tyre.
2) Not going to mention the least obvious part about compressing the pistons to allow room to fit the thicker pads?
