Ive had limits on how far ill go to pick up from the start. It is very obvious if you sit and observe. Uber doesnt want to pay you to deadhead. Keep your deadhead miles as low as you can.

i also noticed on surge pricing it’s designed to give you the worst ride i just got +$16 and of course it gives me shared ride that is 20min to pickup so i have to decline and lose the surge… strange how without surge i usually get pretty sort pickup ones…

My initial assumption whenever I’ve experienced a “hidden surge” or a better price for a ride, is that the demand was greater than available cars. Even if it’s one potential ride and noones around.

Why does uber not give rides during a $17 surge or $30 surge. I was in an area after am airport ride 50 minutes away from normal work area. I didny have dest filters on so i cam only assume its because i dont always drive in the particilar area enough. Because with out fail uber will give me rides the moment i get close to firstone, longmony, erie everytime. Which is 10 miles away from wjere i was today. Smh i just dont understand

Did you account for the wait time after arrival at the pick-up location?
If it took you 7 minutes to get there, but they waited the whole 7 minutes to come out; was it really profitable??

In St. Louis I’m lucky if I get 40 calls and a 10 hr. Shift from 5am to 3pm.
I refuse to drive at night anymore. The political climate is too dangerous. People are absolutely insane.
