Actually the EXP zero ability somehow increases your strength and magic....i tried to beat the game without changing the equipment on proud mode to get the trophies and EXP zero really helped me so much

First Zero EXP is useful outside challenge runs. Since HP increase insan issue without leveling up, developers made it so you can't get oneshotted while this ability is equipped, and finishers deal more damage. Due to an oddity with this skill, if you continue to use magic after a finisher, they deal more damage as if they were a finisher
Combos like Mushu and fire spamming become broken when you do that.

May be mistemembering but I'm pretty sure you can unlock the secret ending on every difficulty but beginner requires 100%

Actually, you can unlock the secret ending in beginner mode because I played beginner mode for the speedrunner trophy and then I went back and beat all the optional bosses and got all the puppies and it was a different secret ending to the one I usually get.

I just started a beginner run on khfm and it gave me the ability exp zero for some reason

About exp 0 there is a bug where if you have it equipped then the extra damage from a combo finisher carries over to magic attacks and ends on your next melee attack so use it if you are high enough level that you don’t need boss xp
