I fell in a pool as a toddler and got saved by a blind guy since nobody else was paying attention, literally my earliest memory was being on the bottom looking up. He was legally blind not completely blind btw but he was VERY close to completely blind, he even walked with a walking stick (or whatever they're called) because of it.

My earliest memory is that of a primal fear. A child playing at a pool decided to jump into the deep end. As he slowly sank and watched my now stepmother say without looking up, " Go get your brother." He slowly sinked down and saw a bright light, unforgettable, and his vision slowly faded. Then his brother dove in, geabbed him, and brought him up. My brother saved my life, and I had an irrational fear of water for many years.

I had a similar incident, I was around 3 yro and I thought I was too ā cool ā for floatys so I went in the pool without them and for a good 1:30 seconds I was exploring the pool just walking around under water and I noticed I couldnāt breath and started to panic. But , my mom saw and my dad came in to save me so yeah for a good 5 years after that I was afraid of swimming with my head underwater.

Crazy how someoneās memory of watching The Wiggles on a TV can give you a flashback to your grandpa saving you from almost drowning in a pool
