Funny because I was told I should get braces to push my teeth back because my perfectly straight teeth cause my full lips to pucker too much, and I guess in the early 2000s large puckered lips were not "in style".

And here I am, desperately praying that my lips shrink when I get braces in future when I start earning and will have enough to get my teeth fixed. I have been bullied my entire early teen for my 'fat lips' and I just want to be thick and straight now.

Can you talk about the permanent face changes that happen with braces sometimes??? It’s not always for the better either!!!! A lot of times the face will get sunken, you’ll lose volume in your cheeks & your face will get longer! More dentists need to address this!!!!

I have small lips. My ortho decided to keep most of my overbite because if he had pulled my teeth back so they were straight down, my lips would be sunken in and I’d have a flat profile. So my teeth are straight across but I still have an overbite

I got punched at the lips before with braces and let’s say it didn’t feel nice and plumped my lips a little when I was in karate before! 😂

The difference is real. I didn’t recognize myself after I got my braces off. I felt ugly and my lips looked weird. lol Crazy enough that’s when I was being told I was beautiful the most often. Smh.
