As other comments are popping up, I agree. Especially when insurance companies can decide "we don't want to go through with an entire area with fire insurance because we suddenly find it a risk"

If I am prevented from having insurance because I like to juggle gasoline soaked firesticks next to my wooden house that I avoided any flame retardant in the construction: You are fair

If I have my insurance canceled because "we find it risky in this area to give it out, we are canceling your contract" I am against it

Yeah I don't think the narrative needs to be changed.
I don't think private industry should profit off of misfortune.
If one disaster strikes my home then the insurance company will actively try to not pay out! That's how they profit.


Profit should not be mixed with people's health and survival. It's abominable and it shows your true colors when you try to justify it
