Nanami's attacks are all critical hits using his curse technique. If he can get close choso is taking damage even using blood manipulation for a physical buff and defense. If at range choso win unless Nanami can block with his sword which is an option Yuji didn't have in his fight.
In general Nanami is more stable and wouldn't make dumb moves like yuji did. Trying to trick choso that he couldn't use an arm after showing choso insane toughness wouldn't be something Nanami would attempt. Yuji is more physically capable, but he doesn't have the experience and judgment of a veteran Rank 1.
