I mean (again)?!?!? You would feel less attracted to attacking "the village" or the group that created such a big thing. From distance it would feel like something big is protecting "the villigers" and staying next to it, you would wonder as well, why would someone create such a thing and for who....

Awesome prehistoric megalitha carved Boulder likely marking where there is burial grounds nearby. I found hundreds just as big as that one or bigger New Jersey Long Island Connecticut
