If you use the other side you can rotate it to the left or right and use less force and pull apart more

that sludge looks like axel grease not oil...maybe cars should go into limp mode if the oil isnt changed on time...based on runtime hours not miles...just thinking out loud..

Oil pan separator it’s like 20 bucks but it’s got a beveled edge so it’s worth the money. You will need to tack weld the screws for the blade and handle on.

Not that bad. Replaced plenty of the lower oil pan on the 3.6 crap-o-stars from rusting out from snow

I use a putty knife, less risk of damage to both surfaces, and then tap it back and forth like a razor blade it will cut thru the 3 bond
