Race week! First road race of 2024! And a new shoe (for you). I bought this pair of Alphafly 2s last year for the Euguene Marathon. They are a fun race shoe! I’ll keep racing in them until I hit 100 miles, then retire them. It's been really hard not to buy the 3s! There are some really fun colorways coming soon too! ANYWAY, the race. Stephen and I were signed up for the Shamrock Half (3rd year in a row for me). We ended up switching to the 15K for a number of reasons: Big Alta not that long ago, the first 4 miles flat out and back on Natio SUCK especially in really crappy weather and WWE2E (30 miles) is on the docket for the end of April. Well… the weather was MAGICAL!!!! The cherry blossoms were in full bloom on Natio. I almost switched back to the half. But I just decided to stick to the plan. It was really fun to let loose on the roads after mostly trail running this winter.
