I work in the trades. A red or blue wire nut, depending on the size of the hole i cut, has never failed me.

I call BS on the seal in the back thing, if that was true they would dry from the base as well (which they dont) and if there's enough space for Air to get in and cure the product when you use the gun it'll just shoot out the base , still cool idea, I just call BS on there marketing

NOBODY in the trades tries to seal with a nail! Only a screw gives you the ability to yank out the dried plug. Metal roofing screws with the neoprene washers work best. Stitch screws are shorter but will plug a larger hole.

I do like that idea. I never seal the bottoms, and use a wire nut taped on or i have some rubber caps for it too. Lasts a long time. Sometimes it dont work though

If the caulk leaks when your using, its the gun, not the caulk

I quit using the nail, it always dried out eventually..now I Cut the tip off, caulk, flip tip around insert, perfect seal. Tape acoss with elec tape or place tip down (gravity hold the tip in on a shelf. My tubes have never dried even after storing for a year .

Wire nut and squirt some extra caulk into the nut to seal it.

Foil tape over the wire nut if you really want it to last. Works better than any other product.

Been using caulk for a while. Never had any problems where I need to cover the tip. Just take the pressure off the tube and set it aside till the next use. These guys created a solution for a problem that doesn't exist.

Don’t do anything. Cut the nozzle a little more, dig out the dried stuff with a nail or screw, and then it’s good to go.

Here in Finland i use thick Xtreme FIX glue that doesnt dry easily like polyurethane based glues. I leave nose open and pull the dried plug out next day. It dries 3mm in 24 hours. PU glues react with water in the air so they can be kept not drying by putting water tight tapes on their noses. And acrylic caulk i also leave open. It opens easily next day and if it dries after week it only costs 3€.

I have used so many bs caulk sealer products theh all suck. Nail works thw best because a pull it out and all the dry stuff comes right out with it.

As a home owner, I'm constantly waisting times of caulk for only using a little every so often and caulk used to be cheap but it's getting salty... If I see i this at the buck and a quarter store I'll pick it up!

they make little "condoms" just for this and they cost cents...
they work great and you can keep multiple tubes good for a long time and swap them on the gun, roll them on, roll them off, and throw them away when the tube is gone.
use them with heavy duty ( and expensive ) rv sealant and they are a game changer...
this thing looks like I would have to throw it away the second a gun got to hot and leaked into it...

This solves an actual problem for once. Having to be careful not to drip it between laying beads. But for storage a big screw or bolt still works great.

I just put some painters tape on the tip and it seals just fine.

What if you need to cut the tip at the base for a lot of caulk, how's it gonna seal that?
