A lot of repeating tech job ads. My idea is that they should be required to put out applicant stats: how many applied, how many got to the next round etc. This requirement could stop empty ads.

Not just AWS, but Azure and google are in demand as well. But don't just focus on cloud, focus on building AI/ML solutions in the cloud. That will give you a good foot in the door.

I didnt realize this was just a commercial. Was hoping for real advice here. Im a laid off software engineer. I agree the cloud is the last frontier but aws university or whatever they are called wont make you a cloud engineer in rhis environment. It takes experience and a lot of learning .

Im wondering if i made the right choice i went back to construction because i was planning on being a apprentice in plumbing. I wasn't really conviced i always felt that i could make the same money with I.T especially web dev and software dev which are both my interest my college has certifcate programs in those fields and i would be getting them for free so now im wondering if i made the right choice to walk away from plumbing i believe i did but im still stuck on that.

Yes with some caveats.
East coast is better than West Coast.
Non-Software Dev/Engineering Jobs are still decent.
Never work at a hospital, school/college, or any Local Town public sectors jobs.

It’s hard no matter what field your in for the longest I was told to avoid the humanities because of fewer jobs and low and now tech??? The job market is bs in general.

I don't know who is asking if a career in tech is still viable. Anyone that asks that question has a very short memory. Tech has had it far worse than now in the past and bounced back stronger every time.

I have given only one technical interview, there was no manager or HR discussion to one of the company later that initial interview, HR says the lead who took the interview was happy with my answers and really good there will not be any further interviews. So, they have sent me an email not formal offer letter Didn't mention the salary details in the mail, says on the day of joining they will give me formal appointment letter with all the details and formalities required. Should I consider accepting that offer or reject?

Having 28 years of web development, it is a bloodbath of fake/bad/underpaid jobs out there. The skillsets now demand you wear many hats as well. To make it worse, all the people that were good at project management are gone and all that are left are the cheap people that break things while trying to keep the lights on. The good got fired, the bad got promoted.
