I kept my ex’s last name too. We’ve been divorced for 12 years and he remarried. I mean you could’ve had the same last name as your husband off top. I guess she would be mad at that too. Well science does say your brain isn’t fully developed until you’re 26. I understand keeping the same last name as your kids.

I was the kid who grew up with a different last name than my mom and it was hell. It might be different now that divorce is more common but when I was growing up I had more than one adult at school tell me I was adopted. One even flat out told me to stop calling my mom mom because she wasn’t my real mom. I asked what she was talking about and she flipped out about how I was adopted. I wasn’t but was tired of fighting it so I just added my step dad’s name to mine. The idiots actually brought in cupcakes to celebrate my “adoption” a few days after I turned in the paperwork.
The step witch needs to pull her head out of her ass. Her need to be the only Mrs. X is not worth the frustration it could cause the kids. Add in the cost of changing your name and Mrs. X can F right off. And what exactly is he going to do if she doesn’t change it? He has no power here and neither to step witch.
Sorry for getting 🤬 but this was something that haunted me for years and I still have to put my abusive step dads name down as an alias every time I do a background check. It irks me. Only one adult in my whole K-12 experience actually asked what the deal was. She was the secretary at my high school who took my paperwork to have my name changed back so my diploma wouldn’t have that AHs name on it

My moms sister divorced her husband, he later married a woman with the same first name,😂 now 2 women are known by the exact same first and last name. Wonder what OPs ex new fiance would do? Ask her to change her first name too??? So immature

My mom married my sister's dad in 1972, they split the next year and she still has his last name. His widow didn't trip about my mom still having his last name when they got married in 1983.

Does he have any idea how hard and how expensive it is to change a last name!? All the documents you have to have re-made, edited, re-issued, etc?! Plus, they had an agreement that until SHE felt the need to change her last name, she'd keep it! Sounds like ex-hubby has stockholm AND a pair of permanenetly glued-on pair of rose coloured shades for the new waifu! OP is 100% not the booty hole!
