He is getting old and has lost his hearing. This makes it difficult to approach him when he is sleeping because I do NOT ever wish to scare him. However, this time he wakes up on his own and startles himself... by seeing ME!
Fable is a male red fox (vulpes vulpes) with the "cross" coloration. He was born April 1, 2011. He is a loyal, loveing companion as well as an animal ambassador at a USDA-licensed facility in Utah.
Ifrit is a female red fox (vulpes vulpes) with the "classic red" coloration. She was born April 1, 2014. She is a spunky and energetic pet as well as an animal ambassador.

I have a wild red fox that comes into my garden ( young but not a cub ) that is deaf . Iβm worried for it what should I do ? I live in the UK ,

We had to that with out deaf dog.

Please take him to a shelter then adopt him. He most likely has fleas, tics and other stuff.

An easy way to wake up a deaf animal is to put your hand in front of them so they can smell you.
