How to control spider mites on fruit trees. Spider mites are very small red or yellow mites the size of the end of pencil. On the summer months they feed on the underneath of the leaves sucking out the inside of the leaves destroying the plant cells. The problem with spider mites is you can’t control them with a regular garden contact insecticide. So if you keep spraying Seven and your problem is getting worse then it’s most likely mites.
