I spaced my garlic a little differently this year. Each garlic plant is now spaced 6โ apart within the row, and the rows themselves are also 6โ apart. Additionally, Iโve arranged the garlic in a zig-zag pattern compared to the rows next to them. With this arrangement, Iโm able to plant 5 rows of garlic, totaling 100 cloves, in a garden bed that measures 10โ long by 2.5โ wide. This is an increase from my usual practice of planting 3 rows of garlic, which amounts to 60 cloves. So, in the same space, Iโve achieved a 67% increase in garlic. I hope this method works well; so far, the garlic is looking healthy.
