If the Canucks come out the first month or two absolutely flying, then they’ll make a trade. Just like they did with Zadorov and a little bit later with Lindholm. I like that actually. Reward the team for good play if warranted. Don’t want to go out and acquire a 2C and have the team be a disaster again. If everything’s going well and you want to reward the team by bolstering the roster, do it.

Playing EA 24. Petey's contract kicked in for the second season. I had to eat it because he had signed early. No JT beef, though. So, Miller and Pettersson both long-term. Demko, Hughes, Hronek, Zadorov, Hogger, and a rehauled bottom 6. Silovs, Podkolzin, and Raty on the come-up. Such wasted potential.
Obviously this a fantasy scenario, but Petey's contract allowed for other guys to shine.
