I think wood spirals are a better alternative. They don’t get over oaked as quickly, just drop it in the bottle and you get zero evaporation loss

Szkoda 6 miesięcy czekanie, taki sam efekt byłby gdyby wlać 0.5-1 kieliszka wina do butelki 0.7l. Destylarnie czasami specjalnie kupują mokre beczki. (No ale żeby na etykiecie było że 'smth cask finish'). Dla domowego wyrobu wystarczy dolać wina ;)

Happened to me. Thought I’d be a world class master distiller. And my whisky tasted horrible. Learned an expensive lesson but now the barrel just sits on my whisky shelf.
