Am I crazy? Swapping a Chevrolet avalanche for THiS!
A little bit about why I did this. Truth be told I wasn’t using the avalanche as much as I thought since most of my wood gets delivered and we have another large family SUV. I have very fond memories of the first car I ever had as a teenager. A 1987, 325 with a manual transmission . BMWs claim to be the ultimate driving machines. And in some cases, I believe they’re right. It was a great car to learn how to drive now almost 30 years later, I wanted that experience again. My friend MICHAEL owns a small European auto dealer here in Jacksonville, Florida and guess what was on his showroom. This 1995 BMW seven series from Europe. Equipped with a manual transmission, a six cylinder engine and is in remarkable condition for its age. It’s a European spec model so the dashboard and everything is in kilometers and liters And it drives like a dream. I never thought a luxury sedan could be as tossable as this one. I’ve been a huge fan of @dougdemuro for years now and I really started buying into the idea of using cars as an experience for only a very short period of time until you move onto the next experience. And that’s what I plan to do here. I will enjoy this car for a year, maybe two and more than likely will sell on @carsandbids and then onto the next unique driving experience. But for now I’m enjoying the heck out of this and if anyone in Jacksonville knows about the cars and coffee group that meets up with older BMWs, I would love to hear from you.
